Hi, I’m Rod.

I graduated from San Diego State University in 2009, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design. Shortly after I graduated I got hired at Newbreak Church to be their Lead Graphic Designer. After 7+ years working in the church world, my journey led me to agency life where I was the Senior Visual Designer at Digital Operative (now 85SIXTY). After 4+ years of working in an agency I decided to make a change and became the CMO + Art Director of Boost Media Co (now merged with Vive Media Co), helping serve other startups, small businesses and non-profits with their creative needs.

I’ve had the honor of working with (and learning from) some of the most creative and innovative people in the design world. Their insight and passion allowed me to explore things outside of my comfort zone. They gave me the freedom to make mistakes along the way, challenge their beliefs and opinions, try new techniques, and explore all facets of the design world. I’m forever grateful for those opportunities.

I love working in teams. There's something so rewarding about facing a challenge together and coming up with an amazing solution based off feedback and ideas from multiple life experiences and perspectives. We have all experienced the world so differently, and I love how that diversity gets expressed in creative team environments.
